THE CONSULTANT JOURNEY
1. If you are successful through all stages of the Virtual Assessment, we will send you confirmation within two working days and invite you to join our program. Your recruiter will liaise with you to book you a start date in our Academy.
2. You will join an FDM Academy and begin your training. In our North American offices you become an FDM employee from day one and are paid by FDM in exchange for your commitment to work with us as a Consultant for a minimum of two years.
3. The program begins with three weeks of Foundation Training. The first week develops your professional skills, preparing you for life onsite whith our clients. You will then complete training in SQL, UNIX, and/or Excel VBA. Prior knowledge of these subjects is helpful but not required.
4. Once you have completed Foundation Training, you will embark on one of FDM’s training streams, such as:
5. Throughout your time in the Academy we will be matching your skills, experience and
training to our open client requirements. Once you are placed with one of our clients we continue to provide you with training, support and career guidance through our HR Support Teams, Account Managers and Consultant Support Network.
6. At the two year point you will have a number of options to take your career to the next stage:
• Stay with FDM and move into a more senior position or undergo additional training and work as a Consultant in a different area.
• Transition to become a permanent member of staff with the client you have been placed with or at another company.
• Leave FDM and pursue your own career opportunities as a freelancer, utilizing the professional network you have developed while working at FDM.
